I seem to be making Christmas Cards with Snowman just lately...(I'm trying to join in with the Bugaboo challenge 'holiday chaos celebration' to make something crafty everyday! Not happening yet... but as least I've managed one card so far!) Anyway, I thought I may as well make this weeks freebie not just one snowman, but two... so here they are! Please, no sharing on any shared sites, only download to your computer. Please comment it you can! Oh....hang on... I'd better add a link! GO HERE to download!! Thank you for stopping by!
Over on Bugaboo they are having a Holiday Chaos Celebration challenge and it's going on all week. It started Sunday so I'm late as usual. Never mind, better late than never!
Here's my cardfor the Stella Says Sketch Holiday Chaos Editionusing two Bugaboo snowmen and the sketch, only I've used a square card and added extra bits in the corners...
Love these snowmen, they're snow cute! I've done as I always do, (I know, I'm boring) put them over my own snowy back ground to create a 'scene' and then 3D-ed them with loads of layers, and coloured them with ProMarkers. I think I might make a pink snowy background, that would be different!
All the papers I've used are by Pinkpetticoat.
Here's a tip...when you print out digital paper (although I think I must have scanned this) , make sure there's no 'bits' on the scanner, otherwise it will show up on your paper... of course it will!
The inside paper must have had one of those 3D foam-pad squares on the scanner and you can see it if you look...never mind, no one will notice! (They will now you've added a big arrow!) Must have been printed it out ages ago, as I haven't used 3D foam pads for some time. I'm kinda 'stuck' on using Gel or silicone! Inside I've also pout in a pocket to add some Christmas money...well, the paper was a bit short!! Shhh!
I've added the die-cut corners on the front and also loads of tiny punched out snowflakes too. Might add some stickles later...
The Freebie font I've used on the front of the card (Left the inside blank for now) is called 'Whutevur' and you can download it HERE or go HERE where you can sign up for a free font sent to you! Or Google the name.
That's it! Go and join in over on Bugaboo, it looks like fun.
When I get back....coz I'm probably walking dogs as you read this...I hope to add this to a few...
Morning Crafty Peeps!! I didn't join in WOYWW last week as I've been so busy, walking dogs all day (my legs are at least two inches shorter!) and I knew I'd never get to visit. And then my computer's been soooo slow... it was just impossible to comment. (White space would sit there blinking and spinning at me for ten minutes and then say...page not found..."It's there, you big fibber!" I'd yell...but the computer said..."NO" Anyway I'll try my best to hop skip and jump around some of you this time. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms! Here's my mess....top picture my bench... I know.... it's bad... but at least I'm constant! And the bottom picture... almost finished a card for a bugaboo challenge. (there's one going on every day...I'll try my best even if I have to burn the candle at both ends...I mean...I don't need to sleep!! That's me done, now all you have to do, is show us your crafty space and tell us what you've been up to and link up with Julia's Stamping Ground!! See you there!!!
It's that Quirky reminder time again...it seems to me that happens every day! Well, todays the same... I'm not here so I hope this all comes out in the right font colour and size! Nip over to Quirky Crafts and see what the other's have made! The challenge is to alter something in vintage style and it has to be Christmas, like it used to be...Wellllll, I'm rubbish at all of that! But here's what I came up with...
First A Wall hanging...which came to me around about three o'clock this morning after giving up at around 2.30 ... so don't look too closely! I've altered some beer mats, strangely we seem to have a lot of them! I've used vintage papers from a magazine, inked all of them and the digi's from our sponsor (Stitchy)with TM Vintage Photo, then tore around them.
The little reindeer was also a freebie stencil from a crafty maginzine. First time I've used him...I think it's the best bit! I've also added some wording using SNOW, so it reads Snow, Noel, Oh Christmas Tree and Winter. .Everything else is from my stash...or was found just 'lying around'
The other thing I made and nearly gave up on, was this altered Nuttella glass jar. I printed the digi's onto acetate, printed it out and threw loads of embossing power over it while it was still wet. The idea was to make the acetate look a bit 'frosted' I fixed it to the glass after putting it through my Xyron magchine.
I think it looks better with the lights off.... Hmmm...(I look better with the lights off too!) Well, that's it from me! I'm not here, again...so I'll catch you later. Thank you for stopping by!
When I get in I hope to add some more...
I made one of these cards using Bugaboo images last month for my Sis-In-law. (it made a change from 'cats') So, when I found out it was Tommys Birthday this weekend, I thought, the same idea would be just 'pawfect' for him. He's four and...a Poople/Bichon Frise, who I walk out every week day.
All the images have been 3D-ed to make them pop, the back ground a drew around them before they were all
fixed together. YThe sentiment was also added when I was fiddling with the digi's and gettig all those little dogs to 'sit' and 'stay'It's all been coloured with promarkers and a tiny bit of glitter added to the lady dogs bow and the balloons. The heart papers are from Pink Petticoat.. The Bone papers were a freebie download from Canyon Downloads, they may still be there and the Font, I've linked before, it's callled BadDog just Google the name and you should find it easily. (add free font, or you might just get dog adverts!)
Now, the doggy papers inside the card I've had for ages. It's really wrapping paper, but doesn't it make great backing paper. It was on a pressy I had years ago and I saved the best bit that wasn't torn.
I always add something to the back of the card, but hardly ever show you, so, heres the back....
I've had to buy HP ink for my HP printer, after three other cheaper makes would not print out. Printer kept saying, ('Computer Said "No") Trouble is, the cheaper one never smudged when I coloured in with my ProMarkers but these exspensive inkes from HP do smudge, I hope it doesn't notice too much. Here's Tommy....
He's so cute!
New Followers! Hi and a big (((wave)) to Darcy Schroeder, Kren Kurts and Janice, I'll link you as soon as I get back!
Pop over to Qu8rky crafts later and join in their challenge, there's still a week to join in. Can't do it on this thing I'm us8ñg it keeps typing things that I don't write.
! Thank you for stopping by! Hope to add this to some...
I've seen quite a few on these 'making angel wings in the snow' digi's but none with a teddy, so I made this one a while back but for some reason my program wouldn't save him as a jpeg or PNG... I have no idea why. It always does! Maybe the scanner was cross with the computer for some reason! I've had problems for a while, but all seems okay now!
I've been so busy, I haven't even had time to nip into town to buy a new pen, so apologies if teddy has a few rough edges! This is him in his first 'draft' as I said before, once I try to alter him in any way....the computer says 'no!' The 'snow' was made a bit more wiggly and he had a black nose and furry cuffs...but the computer prefered him this way! So, what do I know!?! Go HERE to download him. No sharing the unwatermaked image on any shared sites or blogs etc. Links back here are always welcome! Please comment if you can!! It's nice to know you've been! Thank you for stopping by!
And this fabulous card is from the one and only Ike!!
